A Chicago native, Corinthia Jordan studied Journalism at Southern Illinois University—Edwardsville. Her professional writing career began when she worked as a reporter for SIUE’s award-winning, student-ran publication, The Alestle. her poetry debut included, "Mas'r Peace", which was published in the 2017 edition of The River Bluff Review, an annual literary magazine hosted by her alma mater. She published her first book titled, Bloom, in 2018, which is a distinguished collection of poetry and prose inspired by the process of growth. Bloom became an Amazon’s #1 New Seller in the first week’s release. Her second book, Major Degree, provides guidance to first-generation college students as they navigate higher education, cultivate self-awareness, and embrace spirituality. It is Corinthia’s mission to serve by using her words to elevate, heal, and inspire.
